<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Bamboozle on students’ ability to identify the main ideas in descriptive texts. This research was motivated by the low ability of fifth-grade students in identifying main ideas and the limited use of interactive learning media. The method used was a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a posttest-only control group. The subjects consisted of 50 fifth-grade students of SDN Dr. Soetomo V Surabaya, divided into experimental and control classes. Data were collected through multiple-choice tests and analyzed using normality test, homogeneity test, and independent sample t-test. The results showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that the PBL model assisted by Bamboozle has a significant positive effect. The average score of the experimental class (81.6) was higher than the control class (71.2). Therefore, this model can be considered an effective strategy to improve students' reading comprehension skills, especially in identifying main ideas.]]>
