This research was motivated by the low interest of students in understanding and practicing noble character values when only conventional lecture methods were applied. The aim of this study is to examine how the use of visual media and role-playing methods can help elementary school students in developing commendable character. This study employed a qualitative approach with a classroom action research design. The research subjects were 27 fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Sikancil. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings revealed that visual media successfully attracted students’ attention, facilitated their understanding of moral concepts through visual representation, and increased their engagement in learning. Meanwhile, role-playing proved effective in fostering students’ attitudes and behaviors of noble character, as it allowed them to directly experience the values being taught. Thus, the combination of visual media and role-playing can enhance both the understanding and the practice of commendable character among elementary school students.
