<![CDATA[This study aims to describe the types of deixis based on context in the novel Narasi Perihal Ayah by Jaquenza Eden based on George Yule's theory. This study is a descriptive qualitative study. The object of this study is deixis in the novel Narasi Perihal Ayah by Jaquenza Eden. The focus of this study is the use of deixis based on context. The data sources of this study are direct or indirect quotations. The research instrument is the researcher supported by data recording paper along with writing tools in the form of data recording cards and reading the entire novel. The data collection technique used is the reading and note-taking technique. In the data analysis technique, the interactive analysis model of Miles and Huberman is used. In the data presentation technique, an informal technique is used. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that (1) deixis in the novel Narasi Perihal Ayah by Jaquenza Eden includes: (a) first person singular deixis; (b) first person plural deixis; (c) second person singular deixis; (d) third person singular deixis; (e) third person plural deixis; (f) place deixis; (g) time deixis. The novel Narasi Perihal Ayah by Jaquenza Eden is a novel that is related to the use of deixis. The use of deixis in the novel is to find out the context of what the characters say from direct and indirect quotes.]]>
