Mathematics often poses an abstract challenge for elementary school students, particularly in mastering length and weight unit conversions, which are frequently memorized rather than conceptually understood. This study aims to bridge this gap by utilizing the length and weight unit stairs learning media to meaningfully enhance students' numeracy literacy skills. Employing a quantitative approach with a OneGroup Pretest-Posttest design, this study involved 20 fifth-grade students at SDN 029 Tenggarong Seberang selected via purposive sampling. Literacy tests were administered to observe students' progress before and after the intervention, followed by N-Gain and paired sample t-test analysis. The findings reveal that bringing abstract concepts into a concrete, visual space successfully transforms the classroom atmosphere, making students more active, focused, and less anxious in understanding unit sequences. The media exerts a significant positive influence on students' numeracy literacy. In conclusion, learning that prioritizes concrete experience through unit stairs successfully fosters a deeper conceptual understanding, proving to be a humanistic yet effective alternative in elementary mathematics education.
