<![CDATA[This research aims to describe the strategies of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in instilling noble character in students and to identify the obstacles faced in the character-building process at SMP Negeri 12 Kota Jambi. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research informants consist of PAI teachers, Guidance and Counseling (BK) teachers, and the school principal. The research results show that the strategy of PAI teachers in instilling commendable morals is carried out thru exemplary behavior (uswah hasanah, consistency in providing good behavioral examples, habituation, implementation of religious activities, creation of a religious culture in schools, integration of moral values in learning, and the use of uswah and qisah methods). The strategy is supported by cooperation between PAI teachers, BK teachers, the school principal, and the students' parents. The challenges faced include the influence of social media and digital technology, the unstable psychological condition of adolescents, lack of parental attention at home, and the influence of peer environments. Nevertheless, thru various continuous development programs and synergy between schools, families, and communities, the instillation of noble character can be successfully implemented and have a positive impact on the character development of students. Thus, the strategies implemented by PAI teachers have proven effective in shaping the commendable character of students at SMP Negeri 12 Kota Jambi.]]>
