This study aimed to determine the effect of using the Detektif Bahasa media on Indonesian vocabulary learning among third-grade elementary school students. The research was conducted at SD Babakanloa 2 in January 2026 using a quantitative method with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 25 students selected through purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques were conducted through tests and documentation. The research instrument was an objective multiple-choice test used to measure students’ Indonesian vocabulary mastery before and after the implementation of the Detektif Bahasa media. The results showed an improvement in students’ vocabulary mastery after the implementation of the media. The normality test indicated that the data were normally distributed, while the homogeneity test showed that the data were homogeneous. In addition, the paired sample t-test obtained a significance value of <0.001, which was smaller than 0.05, indicating that H₁ was accepted and H₀ was rejected. The N-Gain test result obtained a score of 0.68 categorized as moderate. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of Detektif Bahasa media had a positive effect on students’ Indonesian vocabulary mastery. The media was able to create a more interesting, interactive, and enjoyable learning environment, making students more active during the learning process.
