Hydraulic pipes in the hatch cover system play a crucial role in supporting the smooth loading and unloading of ships. Hydraulic pipe leaks can disrupt operations and require appropriate repair methods to restore system function. This study aims to determine the appropriate repair method to address hydraulic pipe leaks in the hatch cover on the MV. LBN 12. The study was conducted using a qualitative approach through interviews, observations, and documentation and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that previous repair methods were not effective in overcoming leaks. The flush welded patch method was considered an appropriate repair method because it was able to repair leaks more effectively and improve the reliability of the hydraulic system.
