<![CDATA[This study aims to measure the readability level of parable texts in Indonesian language textbooks for grade III elementary school semester 1 using the Fry Graph Formula. The texts analyzed include five story titles, namely Jumping Rope, Failing Again, Bahri the Little Fisherman, Enter Keywords, and My Turn to Help You. The approach used is descriptive quantitative by calculating the average number of syllables and the number of sentences per 100 words, then the results are plotted on a fry graph to determine the estimated grade level of the reader. The results of the analysis show that the readability level of the five texts varies, only the story "Masukkan Kata Kunci" is in accordance with the grade III readability level. The story "Lompat Tali" is at level 2, the story "Gagal Lagi" is at level 8, the story "Bahri Nelayan Cilik" is at level 7, and the story "Giliranku Membantumu" is at level 8. These findings provide an overview for teachers and curriculum developers that not all texts in textbooks automatically match the reading ability of students in their class. Careful selection and guidance are required so that the texts used truly support students' literacy process optimally.]]>
