<![CDATA[This study examines the role of the Green Charets Community (GCC) extracurricular program in shaping students' ecological citizenship at SMAN 2 Bandung. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis involving nine purposively selected participants, then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model with source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that GCC has transformed from a ceremonial activity into a sustainable ecological character habituation program, fully supported by the school through environmental facilities and institutional policies. GCC was established as the primary vehicle for ecological citizenship formation because it integrates Palmer's three dimensions of environmental education: education about, through, and for the environment. The formation process unfolds through four dimensions proposed by WWF Malaysia (2009): environmental knowledge, attitudes, skills, and participation. As a result, students visibly internalized Dobson's (2007) three indicators, including awareness of natural resource limitations, responsibility for environmental sustainability, and active participation in the public sphere, while also driving a collective ecological culture shift at school. Going forward, it is hoped that other schools will adopt similar extracurricular approaches based on ecological habits, supported by strong institutional policies, the involvement of the entire school community, and the integration of local wisdom as the foundation for fostering authentic and sustainable ecological citizenship]]>
