Learning outcomes are a key indicator of learning effectiveness. Observations at SMA IT Al-Fityah Pekanbaru revealed that students’ learning outcomes in Pancasila Education remained relatively low, as approximately 70% of students had only just reached the Minimum Competency Criteria (KKM), due to conventional lecture- and worksheet-based teaching that created a monotonous, low-engagement atmosphere. This study aimed to examine the effect of Crossword Puzzle learning media on students’ learning outcomes in Pancasila Education. A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design, involving 23 students from class XA as the experimental group and 23 students from class XB as the control group. Data were collected through a cognitive test of 30 valid multiple-choice questions with a Cronbach’s Alpha reliability of 0.954, analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene’s homogeneity test, an independent sample t-test, and N-Gain analysis with SPSS version 25. Results showed the experimental class achieved a posttest mean of 86.00, versus 77.05 in the control class. The independent sample t-test yielded a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating the alternative hypothesis was accepted. The N-Gain analysis revealed scores of 51.61% (moderate) for the experimental class and 35.17% (moderate) for the control class, a 15.36% difference showing Crossword Puzzle media was more effective. It is concluded that Crossword Puzzle media has a significant, positive effect on improving learning outcomes in Pancasila Education at SMA IT Al-Fityah Pekanbaru.
