This study aims to analyse the readiness of the management of MTsS Ulumul Qur’an, Central Aceh, to implement the Love-Based Curriculum (KBC) in the first semester of the2026/2027 academic year. This study employs a qualitative approach using a case study design. Informants consisted of the headteacher, the deputy head for curriculum, teachers, and form tutors, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected via semi-structured interviews and documentation, and subsequently analysed using the Miles, Huberman and Saldaña model. The research findings indicate that the madrasah management’s readiness falls into the ‘early readiness’ category, characterised by the implementation of teacher training, curriculum dissemination, and the development of KBC-based teaching materials. Teachers are beginning to understand the KBC concept and integrate values of love into their teaching, although levels of readiness still vary. The main supporting factors include a pesantren-based madrasah culture, the leadership of the headteacher, and collaboration with parents. Meanwhile, the constraints encountered include difficulties in integrating values into teaching, time constraints, differences in pupils’ backgrounds, and the sub-optimal evaluation of affective aspects.
