<![CDATA[Rice is an important agricultural commodity that supports food security in Indonesia. However, rice production faces challenges from pest attacks, particularly the rice field rat (Rattus argentiventer), which can reduce yields. Fumigation technology is an alternative method for controlling rat pests, but its adoption among farmers remains limited. This study aimed to determine the adoption level of rat fumigation technology and analyze factors affecting its adoption among members of the Ngudi Makmur Farmers Group, Madurejo Village, Prambanan Subdistrict, Sleman Regency. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 47 farmers as respondents. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to examine the effects of age, education level, farming experience, extension and assistance, farmer group roles, and government or agricultural institutional support on technology adoption. The results showed that farmer characteristics and institutional factors simultaneously had a significant effect on fumigation technology adoption, explaining 27.6% of the variation in adoption levels. Partially, extension and assistance had a positive and significant effect, while the role of farmer groups had a significant negative effect. Meanwhile, age, education level, farming experience, and government or institutional support had no significant effect. The adoption level of fumigation technology was still low, with an achievement of 35.5% at the awareness stage. Strengthening extension programs, field demonstrations, and continuous assistance are needed to increase sustainable adoption of fumigation technology.]]>
