The increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education provides various benefits for students while also introducing digital security risks that may affect their digital behavior. This study aimed to analyze the effect of AI security awareness on the digital behavior of students at SMP Muhammadiyah 3 Samarinda. A quantitative approach with an explanatory survey design was employed. The study involved 107 students selected using probability sampling from a population of 145 students. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, simple linear regression, validity and reliability tests, and classical assumption tests with SPSS. The findings indicate that students' AI security awareness and digital behavior were both categorized as fairly good. Simple linear regression analysis revealed that AI security awareness had a positive and significant effect on students' digital behavior (Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05). The coefficient of determination (R²) was 0.588, indicating that 58.8% of the variation in students' digital behavior was explained by AI security awareness, while the remaining 41.2% was influenced by other factors. These findings suggest that improving students' awareness of secure AI use can contribute to more responsible and positive digital behavior in educational settings.
