This study is motivated by the crucial role of the social environment as an external factor influencing students’ learning behavior in Social Studies education. The social environment, encompassing family, peers, school, and the wider community, is expected to affect students’ learning discipline and learning attitudes. Variations in students’ learning behavior observed at SMP Negeri 3 Srengat, Blitar Regency, indicate the necessity of examining these relationships empirically. This study aims to determine the influence of the social environment on learning discipline, learning attitudes, and both variables simultaneously. A quantitative approach with an associative research design was employed, involving seventh-grade students as the research population. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed through regression analysis and Multivariate Analysis of Variance (MANOVA). The findings indicate that the social environment significantly influences learning discipline (sig. 0.000 < 0.05; t = 7.378) and learning attitudes (sig. 0.000 < 0.05; t = 6.841). Simultaneously, the social environment significantly affects both variables (sig. 0.000 < 0.05), contributing to the development of disciplined, active, responsible, and positive learning behavior among students in Social Studies learning.
