<![CDATA[Students' low interest in learning Indonesian has contributed to limited engagement in the learning process, indicating the need for an instructional approach that promotes active, contextual, and meaningful learning experiences. This study aimed to improve the learning interest of fourth-grade students through the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach combined with the Learning by Doing strategy in Indonesian language learning at SDN 92 Karetan, Luwu Regency. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using a qualitative approach conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The participants were 20 fourth-grade students. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, and documentation and analyzed using descriptive percentage analysis. The findings revealed that students' average learning interest increased from 57% in the preliminary condition to 67% in Cycle I and 88% in Cycle II. The implementation of learning activities achieved an average score of 92% in Cycle I and 90% in Cycle II, while students' learning activities reached 92% and 88%, respectively, both categorized as very good. At the end of Cycle II, 17 out of 20 students (85%) achieved the highly interested category, indicating that the success indicator had been achieved. Therefore, the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach combined with the Learning by Doing strategy was effective in improving students' learning interest in Indonesian language learning at the elementary school level.]]>
