<![CDATA[This study aims to analyze the inner conflict of the main character in the novel Rumah untuk Alie by Lenn Liu using Sigmund Freud's literary psychology. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a literary psychology approach. The data source was the novel Rumah untuk Alie, while the data consisted of words, phrases, dialogues, and narratives representing the personality structures of id, ego, and superego. Data were collected through reading and note-taking techniques and analyzed descriptively. The findings show that id is the dominant personality structure with 26 data, followed by ego and superego with 18 data each. Id is reflected in emotional expressions such as anger, sadness, hatred, loss, and the need for affection, ego appears in the character's ability to adapt to reality and control emotions, while superego is reflected in moral values and social norms. These findings indicate that the main character's inner conflict develops through the interaction of emotional impulses, reality adjustment, and moral considerations.]]>
