<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach assisted by audio-visual media on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 136, Palembang City. This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of grade IV students in science. These low learning outcomes are evident in the large number of students who still achieve scores below the minimum passing grade, preventing the learning objectives from being achieved. The method used is True Experimental design with a Posttest-Only Control Design. The sampling technique used random sampling with a sample of 55 students, divided into two classes: the experimental class IV.A, with 29 students and the control class IV.D, with 26 students. The research instrument consisted of multiple-choice questions to measure student learning outcomes. Based on the posttest results, the experimental class achieved a higher average score of 86.9, while the control class achieved an average of 73.8. The normality and homogeneity tests indicated that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. The results of the Independent Sample t-Test showed a significant value (2-tailed) = 0.000 <0.05, so Hâ‚€ was rejected and Ha was accepted, meaning that there was a significant difference between the posttest results of the experimental class and the control class students. This shows that there is an influence of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach assisted by audio-visual media on the learning outcomes of IV elementary school students.
