This study was motivated by the low level of students' mathematical problem-solving abilities and the need for innovative learning approaches that integrate technology and local cultural contexts. The study aimed to determine the differences and effects of using Scratch and Quizizz applications based on ethnomathematics on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a Posttest-Only Control Group Design. The population consisted of all eleventh-grade students of SMA Nurul Iman Tanjung Morawa, totaling 69 students, comprising 35 students in class XI MIA 1 as the experimental group and 34 students in class XI MIA 2 as the control group. The research instrument was an essay test on mathematical problem-solving abilities that had met the validity and reliability requirements. Data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and an Independent Samples t-test. The hypothesis testing yielded tcount = 6.601 > ttable = 1.997 and Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05. The experimental group's mean posttest score was 11.92 points higher than that of the control group. Furthermore, the effect size calculation (d = 0.2116) indicated that the use of Scratch and Quizizz applications based on ethnomathematics had a positive and significant effect on students' mathematical problem-solving abilities. Therefore, the integration of Scratch and Quizizz applications based on ethnomathematics can be considered an effective alternative learning approach for improving students' mathematical problem-solving abilities.
