<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effect of the Teaching Games for Understanding (TGFU) learning model on the basic technique of soccer passing for eighth-grade students at SMP Budi Mulia, Karawang. A quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design was employed. The research sample consisted of 23 students from class VIII A. The research instrument used was a passing skill test with assessment indicators including initial stance, movement execution, final stance, and passing accuracy. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, and a paired sample t-test via SPSS Version 27. Results showed an increase in the mean score from 6.52 (pretest) to 9.17 (posttest). The paired t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that H₀ was rejected and H₁ was accepted. This demonstrates a significant effect of the TGFU learning model on students' passing ability. Cohen's d effect size of 1.551 indicates a very large effect. Therefore, the TGFU learning model is proven effective in improving the basic soccer passing technique of eighth-grade students at SMP Budi Mulia. ]]>
