This study was motivated by the low cognitive learning outcomes of students in the IPAS subject, specifically regarding the topic of Indonesia’s cultural diversity, in the fourth grade at SDN Karangbesuki 2 in Malang. Students still struggle to understand the material on cultural diversity due to its broad scope, and they are not very proactive in seeking information on their own. This study aims to improve students’ cognitive learning outcomes through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model supported by digital learning resources on the topic of Indonesia’s cultural diversity. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, consisting of two cycles. Each cycle comprises four stages: planning, implementation of actions, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were 28 fourth-grade students at SDN Karangbesuki 2 in Malang. Based on the research results, the application of the Problem Based Learning model supported by digital learning resources was able to improve students’ cognitive learning outcomes. This was evidenced by an increase in the average learning outcome from 69.47 in Cycle I to 83.71 in Cycle II, representing an increase of 14.24 points. The percentage of students achieving mastery also increased from 25.00% in Cycle I to 89.29% in Cycle II. In addition, the average student learning outcomes increased from 60.66 in the pre-cycle to 83.71 at the end of Cycle II. Thus, the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model supported by digital learning resources is effective in improving students’ cognitive learning outcomes on the subject of Indonesia’s cultural diversity.
