<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effect of the group work model on the map-making skills of students at MAN 2 Solok Selatan Plus Keterampilan. A quasi-experimental method was employed, utilizing a non-equivalent control group design. Random sampling was used to select the participants; Class E1 served as the experimental group (using thematic map media), while Class E2 served as the control group (using general map media). Data collection involved the use of multiple-choice pretest and post-test instruments that had undergone validity and reliability testing. The results showed that the average scores in the experimental group rose from 45.25 to 87.55, whereas the control group's average scores increased from 31.25 to 82.00. A Paired Samples t-test yielded a significance level (Sig.) of < 0.001; since this value is less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) was accepted.
