This study aims to improve conceptual understanding by implementing the Discovery Learning model assisted by digital interactive media and its impact on improving the understanding of the concept of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) in class VII A students of SMPN 12 Malang. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was carried out in two cycles in May 2026. Data collection techniques used include: (1) a post-test at the end of each cycle to measure students' cognitive understanding, and (2) structured observation of the learning process to document student activities during the action. Post-test data were analyzed using N-Gain scores and classical completion percentages, while observation data were analyzed quantitatively based on activeness, cooperation, and self-confidence. The results showed a gradual increase in class average scores from pre-cycle to cycle I and cycle II, with classical completion exceeding the target of 75% of students who met the KKM 75. Observations of the learning process showed an increase in the consistency of student activeness between cycles. These findings confirm that the application of the Discovery Learning model assisted by digital interactive media is effective in improving the conceptual understanding of the material on the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) in junior high school students.
