Character development is crucial in education, particularly for elementary school students who are in the early stages of developing their personalities and behaviors. Character values instilled from an early age will serve as the foundation for shaping students’ attitudes, morals, and ethics in the future. Students at SD Negeri 9 Metro Pusat exhibit good attitudes and behaviors, which is largely due to the role of teachers in fostering character values through various teaching methods. This study aims to explain the methods used by teachers to instill character values in students at SD Negeri 9 Metro Pusat. The research method employed is a descriptive approach with a qualitative focus. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were obtained from interviews with the principal and classroom teachers. The study revealed that the ways in which teachers teach character values to students in grades 1 through 6 encompass four strategies, namely: (1) the religious habit-forming strategy; (2) the social character-strengthening strategy; (3) the academic skills development strategy; and (4) the school collaboration strategy. Based on these results, it can be concluded that character education at SD Negeri 9 Metro Pusat is implemented in an integrated and continuous manner through a combination of various strategies, thereby successfully shaping students’ character in accordance with the objectives of character education.
