<![CDATA[Writing explanatory texts requires systematic instruction to help students understand text structure and language features. This study aimed to describe the implementation of explanatory text writing instruction, the challenges encountered, and the teaching module used in Grade V at SDN Telaga Biru 5 Banjarmasin. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed involving one teacher and 21 students. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that the learning process was implemented systematically based on a teaching module containing learning objectives, materials, instructional procedures, and assessment. The main challenges included students' difficulties in understanding text structure, language features, vocabulary, and spelling. These challenges were addressed through the use of visual media, regular writing practice, teacher guidance, and varied instructional methods. The teaching module effectively supported the learning process and contributed to improving students' explanatory text writing skills.]]>
