Hospital service quality is influenced by various factors, one of which is the workload experienced by healthcare workers. Increasing healthcare service demands, combined with an insufficient number of healthcare personnel and growing job complexity, may lead to excessive workloads. This study aimed to analyze the impact of healthcare workers' workload on the quality of hospital services. The study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method by analyzing 20 relevant scientific articles obtained from national and international sources. The literature review findings indicate that excessive workload tends to be associated with decreased performance and productivity among healthcare workers, as well as increased work stress, fatigue, and burnout. Furthermore, poorly managed workloads may affect patient safety, healthcare workers' job satisfaction, and hospital service efficiency. Several studies also revealed that organizational support, work motivation, and healthcare workers' competencies can help reduce the negative effects of workload. In conclusion, effective workload management through proper workforce planning and appropriate task distribution is essential for improving the quality of hospital services.
