<![CDATA[The issuance of a Visum Et Repertum (VeR) is a form of medical record utilization for criminal investigations and must comply with applicable regulations and the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for the release of medical record information. This study aimed to evaluate the implementation of medical record information release procedures in issuing VeR for police purposes at RSUD Welas Asih, West Java Province, identify the obstacles encountered, and describe improvement efforts. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, involving the Head of Medical Records, the Head of the Medical Records Unit, and medical record officers. The study focused on the implementation of medical record information release for Emergency Department cases in 2025. The results show that the implementation generally complies with the 2022 SOP and the Indonesian Ministry of Health Regulation (Permenkes) No. 24 of 2022. Compliance is demonstrated through official requests from investigators, the use of medical records as the basis for VeR preparation, authorization by the responsible physician, the hospital's official stamp, document numbering, proper archiving, and documented handover to investigators.
