This research is motivated by the rapid development of financial technology, particularly the use of digital wallets (e-wallets), which offer easy transactions and various promotions, thus influencing students' financial behavior. This study aims to analyze the financial behavior of students at the Faculty of Economics, Merdeka University, Pasuruan, in using e-wallets. The approach used was a qualitative case study method with five active e-wallet users selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively qualitatively based on indicators of budgeting and expenditure, timely bill payments, providing emergency funds, and saving. Data validity was tested through source triangulation. The results show that e-wallets provide easy transactions, but have the potential to increase spending frequency. This finding is explained through Mental Accounting Theory and Regret Theory, which describe the perception of e-wallet balances as flexible consumption funds and students' efforts to prepare reserve funds to avoid regret due to unexpected expenses. Therefore, e-wallet use needs to be balanced with students' financial awareness.
