Natural enemies are a crucial component of Integrated Pest Management (IPM); however, information regarding natural enemy communities in maize agroecosystems in Maluku—specifically on Ambon Island—remains limited. This study aimed to identify the composition and ecological roles of natural enemy communities in maize (*Zea mays* L.) crops in Laha Village, Teluk Ambon District. The research was conducted from October to November 2025 using a descriptive survey method across three observation plots, each measuring 20 × 30 m. Sampling was carried out 12 times using yellow sticky traps, pitfall traps, and sweep nets. Specimens were identified based on morphological characteristics down to the family level, and data were analyzed descriptively based on individual counts and relative abundance. A total of 570 natural enemy individuals were collected, representing three orders and five families: Tachinidae (Diptera), Coccinellidae and Cicindellidae (Coleoptera), and Formicidae and Vespidae (Hymenoptera). Tachinidae was the most abundant family, comprising 312 individuals (54.74%), followed by Coccinellidae (98 individuals; 17.19%), Cicindellidae (65 individuals; 11.40%), Formicidae (58 individuals; 10.18%), and Vespidae (37 individuals; 6.49%). Based on their ecological roles, the community consisted of both parasitoids and predators. These findings provide baseline information on the composition of natural enemy communities in the maize agroecosystem of Laha Village, which could potentially be utilized to develop natural enemy conservation strategies supporting IPM implementation in maize cultivation in Maluku.
