This study aimed to analyze the diversity of mollusks in the mangrove conservation area of Apar Village, Pariaman City, West Sumatra Province. A descriptive method was employed, with data collected using purposive sampling at three stations representing different mangrove vegetation densities (sparse, moderate, and dense). Each station consisted of 10x10 meter plots with 1x1 meter subplots. Sampling was conducted during both high and low tide conditions. The results revealed 9 mollusk species, with the genus Nerita (Nerita balteata, Nerita undata, Neritina violacea, etc.) being the most abundant. The Shannon-Wiener diversity index (H') ranged from 2.05 to 2.23 (moderate category), the evenness index was high (1.08–1.26), and the dominance index was low (0.12–0.26). Tidal conditions influenced mollusk abundance and distribution, with Nerita species showing better adaptation to environmental changes. These findings indicate that the mangrove ecosystem in Apar Village remains stable with relatively high mollusk diversity, though variations were observed between stations.
