Abstract

Background: Low reproductive health literacy among adolescent girls remains a challenge in many developing countries. Leveraging digital technology—through social media, mobile applications, websites, educational videos, and e-learning—serves as an innovative strategy to enhance reproductive health knowledge. Objective: To synthesize scientific evidence regarding the effectiveness of digital education in improving reproductive health knowledge among adolescent girls. Methods: This study employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach based on PRISMA guidelines. Articles were searched across PubMed, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, and ProQuest databases for the period 2022–2026, using the keywords "digital health education," "reproductive health," "adolescent girls," and "knowledge." Articles were selected based on inclusion criteria covering experimental studies, quasi-experiments, randomized controlled trials, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses involving adolescents. Results: Evidence from various studies indicates that digital education consistently improves reproductive health knowledge. The most effective media include mobile applications, interactive videos, educational websites, social media, and educational games. Factors influencing intervention success include media interactivity, ease of access, user engagement, and support from healthcare professionals. Conclusion: Digital education is an effective approach for improving reproductive health literacy among adolescent girls and holds the potential for integration into school- and community-based health promotion programs. Keywords: Digital education, reproductive health, adolescent girls, knowledge
