Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of compensation and work motivation on employee work discipline at PT Mitra Abadi Jaya Bersama. This study employed a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population consisted of 34 employees, all of whom were selected as respondents using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 27. The analysis techniques included validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination. The results showed that compensation had a positive and significant effect on employee work discipline, with a t-value of 2.424 and a significance value of 0.021. Work motivation also had a positive and significant effect on employee work discipline, with a t-value of 7.066 and a significance value of 0.000. Simultaneously, compensation and work motivation had a positive and significant effect on work discipline, with an F-value of 31.794 and a significance value of 0.000. The coefficient of determination was 0.672, indicating that compensation and work motivation explained 67.2% of the variation in employee work discipline, while the remaining 32.8% was explained by other factors outside the model. These findings indicate that improving compensation and work motivation can contribute to strengthening employee work discipline.
