<![CDATA[This study aims to examine how the Muslim-friendly tourism value chain is implemented in tourist areas by evaluating its alignment with local regulatory frameworks, government reports, official data, and relevant scientific literature. This study employs a mixed-methods approach, utilising official government reports, observation without interviews, and scientific articles selected using the PRISMA approach. Official reports in the form of governor’s regulations, which serve as guidelines, were compared with the implementation of the value chain in tourist areas; these were subsequently critiqued using the selected scientific articles analysed through the PRISMA approach. The implementation of the value chain, comprising Muslim-friendly tourist destinations, halal transport services, food and beverage services, and halal accommodation in the Baturaden and Tawangmangu tourist areas, has been partially implemented based on business criteria. This study aims to identify a conceptual framework regarding how the value chains of Muslim-friendly tourist destinations, transport services, food and beverage services, and accommodation can be synergistically interconnected within a single Muslim-friendly tourism supply chain, based on official government reports. This study contributes to the understanding that, in order to conduct research relating to Muslim-friendly tourism in a particular region, it must be ensured that the region has enacted local regulations so that there are binding standards for measuring the alignment between the concept and its implementation, which apply to all stakeholders.]]>
