Fruit and vegetable consumption among Indonesian adolescents remains below the recommended dietary guidelines, increasing the risk of various health problems later in life. The rapid development of digital technology has created opportunities to utilize interactive and accessible educational media to improve adolescents' nutritional knowledge and healthy eating behaviors. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of digital media-based nutrition education in improving fruit and vegetable consumption among senior high school students. A quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design was employed. The study was conducted at a public senior high school in Yogyakarta City, Indonesia, involving 100 students selected through purposive sampling. The intervention consisted of digital nutrition education delivered through educational videos, interactive infographics, and daily digital reminders over a four-week period. Data were collected using a validated and reliable questionnaire assessing fruit and vegetable consumption behavior. Data were analyzed using a paired-samples t-test with a significance level of 5%. The findings demonstrated a statistically significant improvement in fruit and vegetable consumption behavior following the intervention (p < 0.001). The mean behavioral score increased from 61.84 ± 8.72 before the intervention to 76.91 ± 7.95 after the intervention. These results indicate that digital media-based nutrition education is effective in promoting healthier fruit and vegetable consumption among adolescents. This study provides empirical evidence supporting the integration of digital educational media into school-based health promotion programs as an adaptive, efficient, and sustainable strategy for improving adolescent nutritional behavior.
