<![CDATA[This study is grounded in the need of Taman Husada Regional Hospital, Bontang City, to obtain empirical evidence regarding the factors shaping nurses' performance, particularly competency and work facilities, as a basis for managerial decision making in support of the hospital's vision as a high standard healthcare institution. This study aims to identify the level of competency, work facilities, and nurses' performance, as well as to measure the magnitude of the effect of competency and work facilities on nurses' performance, both partially and simultaneously. This study employed a quantitative causal associative approach using a saturated sampling technique involving the entire population of 35 nurses. Primary data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using path analysis with the assistance of SPSS version 25, following the transformation of ordinal data into interval data through the Method of Successive Interval. The results indicate that competency falls into the Very Good category, while work facilities and nurses' performance fall into the Good category. The verificative results show that competency exerts a dominant effect on nurses' performance, whereas work facilities exert only a very small partial effect. Simultaneously, both variables affect nurses' performance, with the remaining variance explained by other factors outside the model. These findings imply that strengthening competency through continuous education should become a primary managerial priority, while the provision of adequate work facilities remains necessary as a fundamental prerequisite for safe and quality healthcare service.]]>
