This study maps the development and structure of financial capability research through a bibliometric analysis of 166 Scopus-indexed articles from 2011–2026 using Bibliometrix-Biblioshiny. The findings reveal significant publication growth since 2018, with the Journal of Financial Counseling and Planning and Xiao J.J. as the most productive source and author. Financial capability has evolved into a multidimensional construct linked to financial behavior, financial well-being, financial technology, and financial resilience. Thematic evolution shows a shift from knowledge and debt toward behavioral, psychological, and digital integration. International collaboration remains dominated by the United States. This study updates the literature mapping to 2026 and proposes a research agenda emphasizing developing-country contexts.
