The development of information technology in education demands innovative teaching materials that support interactive, flexible, and student-centered learning. In Basic Physics courses, Informatics Education students still face various obstacles in understanding abstract physics concepts. In addition, the teaching materials used are still dominated by printed modules and presentation media, thus not being able to facilitate active learning or the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model. The analysis results indicate that students and lecturers need digital teaching materials that are easily accessible, interactive, and support independent learning. The expected e-modules contain systematic materials, learning videos, animations, simulations, practice questions with feedback, evaluations, and project activities that are in accordance with the syntax of Project Based Learning. The research findings also indicate that the implementation of Interactive E-modules based on Project Based Learning has the potential to increase students' learning motivation, conceptual understanding, critical thinking skills, problem solving, collaboration, and independent learning skills. Thus, the results of this needs analysis serve as the basis for the development of Interactive E-modules based on Project Based Learning that are in accordance with the characteristics of Informatics Education students and the learning needs of Basic Physics.
