Server room monitoring is a crucial aspect of maintaining device stability and ensuring the security of information technology infrastructure. This study aims to design and implement an Internet of Things (IoT)-based server room monitoring system using an ESP32-CAM integrated with a DHT22 temperature sensor, a PIR motion sensor, InfluxDB, Grafana, and a Telegram Bot. The research employed the Research and Development (R&D) method with a prototype development approach, consisting of the stages of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and functional testing. The developed system is capable of monitoring server room temperature in real time, detecting human presence using a PIR sensor during predefined monitoring periods, sending notifications along with captured images via Telegram, and storing as well as visualizing monitoring data on a Grafana dashboard through InfluxDB. The testing results indicate that the system performs according to its design, with the DHT22 and PIR sensors achieving a detection success rate of over 95%. In addition, data transmission to Grafana and Telegram notifications are delivered in real time, enabling fast and accurate monitoring of server room conditions. The implementation of this system can improve monitoring effectiveness, accelerate responses to abnormal conditions, and support the security and operational reliability of the information technology infrastructure at BBPMP Central Java.
