This study aims to predict hydrogen gas production using equations of state (EoS). It highlights the behaviour of real gases, which deviates from that of ideal gases under extreme conditions. The EoS considered are the ideal gas (PVT), Peng–Robinson (PR), and Modified Benedict–Webb–Rubin (MBWR) models. These models are used to compare predicted hydrogen gas production based on volume, pressure, and temperature parameters. The results indicate that at low temperatures and pressures, predictions from the ideal gas (PVT) and PR models are agree with experimental data. However, significant deviations occur at higher temperatures and pressures. Predictions using the MBWR equation show deviations up to 20% at 25 to 150 °C for pressure up to 20 MPa. The PVT and PR models exhibited deviations of up to 90%, Overall, the simulation demonstrates that the MBWR equation provides a higher accuracy compared to the other two models.
