Writing personal experience texts is essential for elementary students, yet many struggle with idea generation and text organization due to conventional instruction methods. This study developed and evaluated a contextual learning model using digital comics assisted by Heyzine Flipbook for teaching personal experience writing to fourth-grade students. Employing Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), data were collected from 60 students across two elementary schools through interviews, questionnaires, and writing tests. Validation by four experts (model expert, content expert, two practitioner teachers) yielded a very high feasibility rating (average 96.45%). Implementation results showed improved writing quality, with classical learning mastery reaching 87% and 90% in the two schools, exceeding the 75% minimum threshold. The findings indicate that the integrated contextual-digital comic model is feasible and effective for teaching personal experience writing. Limitations include the single-grade focus and the absence of long-term retention measurement. The study contributes a practical, empirically validated instructional model integrating contextual learning principles with digital comic media for elementary writing instruction.
