The development of digital technology has driven significant transformations in human communication patterns, particularly among Generation Z, who have grown up as digital natives. This study aims to analyze the nature of these transformations in communication patterns, the factors influencing them, and their implications for social interaction and the quality of interpersonal communication. The study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive design, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation techniques to examine Generation Z individuals who actively use digital media. The results of the study indicate that the transformation of communication is characterized by a shift from linear communication toward interactive, multimodal, and digital-network-based communication. Generation Z tends to use a combination of text, visuals, and digital symbols to convey messages, and prioritizes speed and efficiency in communication. This transformation is influenced by various factors, such as technological advancements, the dominance of social media, generational characteristics, globalization, as well as psychological aspects and modern lifestyles.
