The study focuses on two main issues: 1) the factors causing the practice of toba katolob'ea marriage in Nasiri Hamlet; 2) the Islamic legal perspective on toba katolob'ea marriage and its implications for the continuity and happiness of household life. The research findings show that toba katolob'ea marriage is a tradition known among the Nasiri Hamlet community for married couples who have been living together due to several factors: 1) lack of knowledge about the essence of marriage; 2) early marriage and psychological immaturity; 3) weak economic conditions and work ethic; 4) promiscuity and infidelity; 5) household disharmony believed to cause illness; 6) weak understanding of Islamic law. From an Islamic legal perspective, toba katolob'ea marriage is permissible (jaiz) as long as it meets sharia requirements and aims to renew household relationships for the better, and the household breakdown has not reached the level of triple divorce. If the marital disputes have reached triple divorce, this practice is not justified in Islamic law as it does not meet the basic principles and pillars of marriage.
