Insomnia among adolescents is a growing health issue driven by lifestyle changes, including high academic demands, excessive gadget use, and a lack of knowledge regarding healthy sleep hebits (sleep hygiene). Persistent sleep disturbances can lead to reduced concentration, emotional instability, lower academic performance a weakened immune system, and a diminished quality of life. Therefore, promotive and preventive measures, specifically health education, are needed to enhance knowledge and foster healthy sleep behaviors. This community service initiative aims to improve adolescents knowledge and skills regarding sleep hygiene practices and relaxation techniques as a means of preventing insomnia. The program targets high school students. Implementation methods include interactive education using presentations and leaflets, demonstration and practice of relaxation techniques, discussions, and question and answer sessions, alongside pre test and post test evaluations to measure gains in knowledge. Expected outcomes include increased adolescent knowledge and awareness regarding the importance of sleep quality, improved ability among participants to independently apply relaxation techniques, the adoption of better sleep hygiene habits, and the fulfillment of the higher education “Tridharma” (Three Pillars) mandate to improve adolescent health.
