<![CDATA[This community service is motivated by the low literacy of character among students which has an impact on their limited understanding of the exemplary values of national figures as a source of character formation. Students tend to be more familiar with popular figures on social media than national figures who have made major contributions in the history of the nation's struggle. Therefore, educational efforts are needed through literacy mentoring activities to introduce heroic values to students. This activity aims to increase understanding and instill character values through the example of KH Agus Salim to students at SMA Negeri 4 Kota Pariaman. The method of implementing the activity uses the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach which involves active participation between the implementation team and school partners through the stages of problem identification, program planning, activity implementation, as well as reflection and evaluation. The forms of activities carried out include the delivery of literacy of character, interactive discussions, and reflection on the exemplary values of national figures. The results of the activity indicate that the character literacy mentoring program enhanced students' understanding of KH Agus Salim's role and contribution to national history while fostering awareness of the importance of character values such as integrity, intellectual intelligence, critical thinking, and a spirit of nationalism.
