This community engagement activity was motivated by the need of the Tahfidz Baitul Qur’an Islamic Education Institution (LPI) in Tulungagung to strengthen educational quality control. The identified challenges were related to the need to improve institutional coordination, planning, and control of educational activities. The activity aimed to strengthen the understanding and capacity of foundation administrators and educators in managing educational quality through management functions and quality management principles. The methods employed were participatory community education, training, and consultation. The activities consisted of initial observation, delivery of materials on George R. Terry’s management functions, Juran’s Quality Trilogy, and educational quality management, followed by discussions on quality planning and quality control. Evaluation was conducted qualitatively through discussion, reflection, and identification of institutional follow-up plans. The results indicated strengthened understanding of the importance of planning, organizing, actuating, controlling, and improving educational quality. Five institutional follow-up plans were also formulated: strengthening coordination through regular meetings, providing space for constructive criticism, developing joint quality improvement plans, implementing organizational mechanisms, and strengthening leadership regeneration through cadre development. However, the activity cannot yet demonstrate comprehensive changes in educational quality because its long-term impact was not measured. The mentoring process therefore serves as an initial foundation for developing a quality culture through more systematic, controlled, and sustainable institutional management.
