Self-medication is a form of self-treatment widely practiced by the public to manage minor health complaints, including cough. The quality of self-medication services provided in pharmacies plays an important role in determining the appropriateness of medication use by patients. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the quality of self-medication services and the appropriateness of expectorant cough medicine use among patients at Pharmacy X, Bandung City. This study employed a quantitative method with a correlational analytic design. The research sample consisted of patients who practiced self-medication using expectorant cough medicines at Pharmacy X, Bandung City, selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed through univariate and bivariate analysis using the Spearman Rank correlation test. The results showed a significant relationship between the quality of self-medication services and the appropriateness of expectorant cough medicine use among patients at Pharmacy X, Bandung City. The Spearman correlation coefficient of 0.869 indicated a very strong, positive relationship. The better the quality of self-medication service provided, the higher the appropriateness of medication use among patients
