This study aims to analyze the effect of work-life balance on employee performance through job satisfaction as a mediating variable, focusing on married couples working for the same private organization in Bandung City. The energy-efficiency policy that has expanded work-from-home (WFH) schemes has encouraged working couples to adjust their work arrangements, either by utilizing WFH simultaneously or on an alternating basis, while ensuring childcare through daycare facilities provided at the workplace or located near the workplace. This study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive-associative design. The research sample consisted of 20 couples (40 respondents) of private-sector employees from various industries in Bandung, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using path analysis. The results indicate that work-life balance has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and work-life balance positively affects employee performance both directly and through job satisfaction. Additional findings show that alternating WFH flexibility between spouses and the availability of childcare facilities are important factors that strengthen the perception of work-family balance among couples employed within the same organization.
