<![CDATA[Long-Acting Contraceptive Methods (LACMs) provide long-term protection to delay or prevent pregnancy. However, LARCs use among women of reproductive age (WRA) remains low, particularly in Surabaya, East Java. This may be associated with limited knowledge and low interest in LARCs, highlighting the need for education to improve WRA’s understanding and interest in their use. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of health education using an audiovisual e-booklet on the knowledge and interest of women of reproductive age regarding the use of LACMs at the Tambakrejo Community Health Center. The use of engaging and easily accessible educational media is expected to help improve public understanding of the benefits and effectiveness of LACMs. Additionally, audiovisual media are considered capable of increasing the target audience’s engagement in the health education process. This study used a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design involving 78 WUS divided into an Audiovisual E-Booklet group and a leaflet group. Knowledge and interest were assessed using questionnaires and analyzed with the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank and Mann-Whitney U Tests. The results showed increased knowledge (p=0.000) and interest (p=0.000) in the Audiovisual E-Booklet group, while the leaflet group also showed improvements in knowledge (p=0.009) and interest (p=0.002). Mann-Whitney analysis indicated significant differences between the groups in knowledge (p=0.001) and interest (p=0.000). These findings suggest that audiovisual e-booklet health education is more effective than leaflets in improving WUS knowledge and interest in MKJP use.]]>
