<![CDATA[This study aims to examine the role of traditional ceremonies in strengthening social solidarity within the urban community of Denpasar, Bali. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. The findings show that traditional ceremonies such as ngaben, odalan, and menek sumbu continue to be practiced in adaptive forms amidst modernization. Community involvement in the preparation and execution of these rituals reflects strong values of mutual cooperation (gotong royong), communal harmony (menyama braya), and intergenerational participation. Despite challenges such as the commercialization of rituals and declining interest among youth, traditional values are sustained through innovation and the use of modern media. These ceremonies also function as informal educational tools that foster moral values, social cohesion, and religious tolerance. Thus, traditional ceremonies in Denpasar serve not only as cultural symbols but also as strategic instruments for maintaining social integration in an increasingly urbanized Balinese society.]]>
