Abstract Hindu Religious Education and Character Education play a strategic role in shaping students' spiritual and moral character. The Independent Curriculum demands adaptive learning through a process differentiation approach, but its implementation at SMP Negeri 1 Bangli faces challenges such as differences in student learning readiness, limited resources, and diverse teacher abilities. This descriptive qualitative study employed field research and a phenomenological approach, collecting data through observation, interviews, and document studies. The theoretical basis used Vygotsky's Zone of Proximal Development and Carl Rogers' humanistic theory, which supports the differentiation of the learning process. Results indicate positive implementation, with increased student motivation, engagement, and understanding of religious values. Key challenges include large class sizes, diverse teacher abilities, limited time and resources, and insufficient parental support. The study recommends strengthening teacher competencies, providing adequate resources, parent outreach, and developing a collaborative school culture. Keywords: Process differentiation, active learning, project-based learning
