The screw press machine is a main piece of equipment in the palm oil processing process, functioning to extract oil from palm fruit. Machine damage can reduce productivity, increase downtime, and disrupt the production process. This final project aims to identify damage to the screw press machine at PT. Gunung Sawit Bina Lestari, analyze the causes of damage using the 5 Why method, and implement corrective maintenance as a repair action. The method used is descriptive with a case study approach. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. The results showed that the main damage occurred to the screw press, bushing hollow lengthening, and hydraulic motor rubber coupling. The 5 Why analysis showed that screw press damage was caused by excessive workload and the component's service life approaching the hour meter limit, bushing damage was caused by insufficient lubrication and the absence of scheduled maintenance, while rubber coupling damage was caused by hydraulic pressure exceeding the standard. Corrective maintenance was carried out through disassembly, inspection, cleaning, lubrication, replacement of damaged components, and machine testing. The repair results showed that the machine returned to stable operation, vibration was reduced, the hydraulic system functioned normally, and the pressing process operated properl.
